Assessment/Exams - 50%
You will be offered a minimum of 3 opportunities to receive formal assessment (exams, quizes, projects, presentations, and essays). You will be provided with scoring key and/or rubric that explains your grade. I will allow make-up exams with absence note. With special permission from me, you will be allowed to submit late essays with a fair penalty for lateness.
Classwork - 25%
Your notebook, attendance, participation (verbal/written), behavior, and overall cooperation will make up a quarter of your grade. Persistent disruptive behavior (as defined in Student Handbook in addition to chewing gum, eating food, preventing other students from learning, and violating a dress code) will result in receiving a ZERO for classwork. Don't jeopardize your grade by insubordinate behavior. All electronic equipment will be confiscated and brought to Room 127. I do not want to SEE or HEAR ipods, phones, Sidekicks, etc. EVER!

Homework - 25%
I am expected to assign written homework between 2 and 4 times weekly. No late homework will be accepted without a legitimate absence note.
